KK~ Entertainment~ Where to go? What to do?

It's Wednesday. Everyone's been trying to make plans for the evening. First it was supposed to be to the movies (Pirates of The Caribbean) tonite. Then, it was postponed to tmoro-can't get seats together for everyone. Muffin suggested 'karaoke'..hehe. But not really up for it, still coughing like mad. So where does one go on a Wednesday night in lovely lil' KK?

Hmm..we've got a few choices..

1. The Loft

A British theme bar at the Waterfront, where everybody knows my name.*grins* It's a great place to hang out with friends, over a game of pool or just catching up. Spent most of my time here during the World Cup Season. A great place to start the nite. Had many a drunken, crazy nights here with the usual suspects. It's more of a second home to most of us. We could do anything and i mean ANYTHING our heart desire at this lovely bar. Love the atmosphere, love the company, good quality booze, great music, great service, friendly staff, and what else..oh yes! You could order food from any other restaurants around the area and have it there. My friends own this bar, it makes it even so much more inviting. ;) Well done, Sal & Colin.

2. Cock & Bull

Another pub at the Waterfront. Always busy and lively. I hardly go this one tho. Just can't get comfortable there for some reasons. It's more of an Old Boy's Pub.

3. BED

A huge club at the Waterfront with a live-band playing daily, except on Mondays. I heard the current band is good. Must make a point to check them out soon. I only go to this one when they've got a special event going on.

Typical pick-up line heard at the Waterfront. "Hi..Wanna go to BED with me?"

4. Cocoon

I like it here. Nice atmosphere, cool decor and lay-out. The band Headhunters play live daily except for Sundays. They're great. Love the songs they play.(esp. 'Lately' *winks for Muffin*). Friendly staff and nice snacks. They've also got a restaurant outside the bar. It's Ladies Nite here tonight. Free booze for the ladies 9-11pm. Right opposite Shenanigans.

5. Upperstar

Hardly go to this one but it's not bad at all. Beers cheap, foods good, the crowd is a mix of teenagers, good drinkers (men stressed from work*) and tourists. They say it's a good place to start off with before ending up in Cocoon or Shenanigans.

6. Shenanigans

Simply 'The Place To Be'. Its been a popular spot since day 1. It's at the Hyatt. Always have good bands playing live daily except Sundays. Today is Ladies Nite here. But there's no free booze I don't think. It's the place to go to check out on the eye-candies. Plus,DJ Saiful always spins the best music. Best to go with a bunch of people and get silly on the dance floor.:)

7. Blue Note

This one's at STAR. I love to hang out here. Very chilled out, relaxing, great bands, great music, huge dance floor, pool tables, good wine. Can't ask for more really. Plus I get lots of discounts here for being an Orion member. I might go there tonight.

8. QBar

A nice lil' bar with happy gay people all around. They play cool music here. A great place for the girls to party and go all wild cos none of the the guys here would bother them.

There's countless other bars..some I don't even dare step foot into..we can go over them later..when I have nothing better to do..

It's time to shower and get ready...

Wish I was still at the festival..

Wish i was still at the festival..*sigh* Wanted to post an entry as soon as I landed home but was too knackered. Then the next day, I got fever + cold + cough. Was bedridden for almost 3 days. Had such a whale of a time at the festival. It was amazing. Thousands of people all enjoying and moving to the same music in the middle of the rainforest. An unforgettable experience..and yes, so surreal, wasn't it Muffin? It was damn hot!!! And so was the weather *winks* He he!! Met some really nice people while I was there. Some are already now becoming quite dear to me :-) Great place, fantastic music, beautiful people, booze...it could NOT have been better..
